FreeIQ Business Models - Rental Agent or Property Owner?

Not sure what FreeIQ is yet?  Check out my two posts on What is FreeIQ and 7 Ways of Making Money with FreeIQ.com.  Now let's get on to the business of THIS post…

The way I see it, there are two overriding business models on how to make money with FreeIQ.

Be a Traffic broker:
In the typical sense of being an affiliate for anything for sale on the internet, it's your job to send traffic to your affiliate link and hope someone buys something.  The good news is that unlike almost every other affiliate program, FreeIQ.com has extended the life of that "referral" for an entire year.  (compared to Amazon who's referral lasts for the duration of the users current visit to Amazon.com.)  So, as a traffic broker, you have the opportunity to send as many people as you can to FreeIQ and you get paid if:

So even as a traffic broker, the stakes are VERY high.  The negative part about this is that constant promotion is required because even with one year credit for referrals, they will still go away after a year.  A few idea's on being a traffic broker:

Are you seeing a pattern here?  The most concrete it gets as a traffic broker is that you "hope they buy something".

Be a Content Owner:
In this case, YOU are actually the one selling stuff on FreeIQ.  Since it is your product, you will get paid for as long as the product continues to sell on FreeIQ.  Clearly this has HUGE advantages.

I could go on and on about the benefits being the owner of content for sale on FreeIQ.com.  But I just want to drive this point home.

IT'S ALL ABOUT CONTENT!

When I visited the FreeIQ office a couple weeks ago, the recurring theme from every executive I spoke to from Brad Fallon to Gary Shmerling was that the people who grasp this concept and work to get their content on FreeIQ will earn the most money over the long haul.

Here's an analogy:

Being a traffic broker is like being a real estate agent finding a tenant for a rental property.  Sure, you get a commission.  But you have to start over after that transaction.
Being a content owner is like being the owner of the rental property.  You keep getting paid over and over again….

So, what do you want to do?   Be the real estate agent, or own the property?   Yeah, I thought so…

…so go out and start creating content to give away and to sell on FreeIQ.  And if you're not an expert yourself, go find one and help them get their stuff onto FreeIQ for a share of the profits.

And if you haven't signed up for your own account yet, what are you waiting for?  Signup now!
